Retribution suffered yet another loss this week on RAW to the New Day. It’s something that has honestly become a bit of a trend when it comes to the chaotic group.
After the match, Mustafa Ali hit the ring to yell at his faction members. It’s a scene that’s become all too familiar since they debuted last year. Despite their talent, they’ve also had issues with getting over with the fans as well as their presentation (..those cheap masks anyone?). It’s been a pretty rough start for a faction that Vince McMahon himself was behind creating. However, “Shut It Down” may have new meaning for them soon rather than just part of their theme soon.
We’ve learned at The Ringside Roster that Retribution may reportedly be set to disband soon. The feeling backstage is that things haven’t worked out how WWE hoped and that they really haven’t been able to gain any steam, so it may be best to let them go their separate ways.
We’ll have to see what happens, but it would likely be a welcome move for many fans and possibly even some of the members of Retribution themselves.
