Despite Luke Harper’s recent request for a release on social media, it appears WWE will not be granting it. In fact they plan to add on more time.
WWE reportedly added six months to his contract because they’ve said that his contract term that was to end in November, has been added to because it was frozen due to his time off for wrist surgery. So their viewpoint is that he can’t leave until just before next year’s WrestleMania.
It’s a rough situation for Harper because it appears as though WWE is trying to send a message to Superstars trying to get out of their contracts by posting on social media. It worked for Tye Dillinger but it’s said WWE doesn’t want Superstars thinking that it will always work. In this case it’s just Harper getting caught in the middle of things.
It appears the best that Harper can hope for is that they use him well until his contract expires.
