Why WWE Is Continuing The Current Roman Reigns Vs Kevin Owens Feud

When Roman Reigns defeated Kevin Owens in a last man standing match at the 2021 Royal Rumble most people figured that Reigns would be moving on.

Rumble winner Edge is looming, and should he select Reigns the two will be facing off at WrestleMania 37. However, we aren’t at the big show just yet. That’s where Kevin Owens comes in. This past week on SmackDown as Edge was facing off with Reigns we saw Owens hit Reigns with a stunner out of nowhere. WWE still needs a credible opponent to face off against Reigns for the time being. Word is that WWE believes that there is currently nobody else to fill that spot right now on SmackDown, so they’ll continue to roll with Owens. It’s really as simply as that in this case.

WWE Elimination Chamber is in a few short weeks on February 21st. We’ll have to see what it brings, but we’ll more than likely see Reigns and Owens continue to battle inside of the structure on the road to WrestleMania.
