Jonathan Fatu aka Jimmy Uso was arrested last week for a DUI in Pensacola, FL. WWE was said to be very upset, concerned, and some backstage even p***** off about the situation. However, despite this and the fact that Uso has had multiple offenses in the past we still saw him appear on SmackDown last week which understandably caused some outrage.
Many fans were shocked and flat out stunned to see Uso appear on the show just a few short days after his arrest, with questioning as to why the company would allow it, and a feeling that it sends a bad and perhaps bias message to the rest of the locker room.
It appears they had their reasons for that, although some certainly won’t agree with them.
We’ve learned at The Ringside Roster that WWE hasn’t removed Jimmy Uso from TV yet due to the fact that they believe he’s in a very important role and program with Roman Reigns and it would interfere too much with the current storyline.
Essentially the company seems be willing to look the other way at this time, which may be a bad look to many, as most believe that Uso clearly needs help, and not another pass but…it is what it is, it would seem.
We’ll have to see if things change down the line and there are some repercussions, but for now Jimmy Uso will remain by the side of the Head Of The Table Roman Reigns and his brother Jey Uso on SmackDown.
