New Update On Plans For Kofi Kingston Following Upset Over Bobby Lashley

Kofi Kingston scored two huge victories last night on RAW defeating both Randy Orton and the WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.

It was a huge night for the former WWE Champion, but fans couldn’t help to wonder where exactly things might be leading afterwards.

WWE is doing it’s best to protect Lashley as WWE Champion and the victory came after a distraction from Xavier Woods. It also wasn’t for the title (despite alluding that it was all night…), but there may be good reason for that.

We’ve learned at The Ringside Roster that Kofi Kingston Vs Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship is being discussed internally, but at this time the company has yet to make any long term booking decisions. Kingston winning was a way to leave the door open for a rematch, which we could possibly see go down at Hell In A Cell on June 20th.

It looks like Kofi Kingston could be the next challenger to try and take the championship from The Almighty.

We’ll have to see what happens, but we should find out more as it gets closer to Hell In A Cell.
