Former WWE Tag Team Akam and Rezar who were known as The Authors Of Pain or simply AOP in the WWE were released from the company back in late 2020.
Akam took to social media to shoot down the recent report and made it clear the AOP is far from done. Very interesting indeed.

The dominating duo who held the WWE NXT and the RAW Tag Team Championships were sidelined for a lengthy amount of time after an injury to Rezar in early 2020. At the time they were in a group as the heavy hitters for Seth Rollins, but they were both released a few months later.
Since then things have been quiet in the pro wrestling world when it comes to The Authors Of Pain, but according to Fightful Select they reportedly received interest from companies such as AEW and NJPW, although a deal never happened. They have have also seemingly been telling indie bookers that they are retired at this time. Akam is 28 while Rezar is 26.
The team is still extremely young and should they change their minds there will surely be some interest in signing them once again. For now it appears they’ll be writing a different chapter to their story.
