WWE returned to the road in July after over 70 weeks in the ThunderDome without live crowds. The biggest party of the Summer SummerSlam is now around the corner, but things may not be playing out how the company had hoped.

According to Bodyslam.net WWE is very concerned about SummerSlam being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic as the delta variant is quickly on the rise and more restrictions continue to be put in place.

There is also a new mask mandate in Clark County, Nevada the home of SummerSlam and the announcement of limited number gatherings could also be coming shortly. The current thought right now is that the company may have to return to the performance center and bring back the ThunderDome for the show and for the foreseeable future.

WWE is simply not expecting to be on the road once SummerSlam rolls around with the way things are going.

We’ll have to see what happens, but it’s very possible that big changes will have to be made very soon.
