CM Punk is arguably one of the biggest and most popular stars in WWE history. The controversial Punk was a fan favorite, however, he left the company in 2014 after he became unhappy with how things were being handled.
Since that time Punk has kept busy with ventures outside of the ring including a stint in UFC as well as acting in some movies etc. However, through it, all fans have never given up one the hope that he could return to the ring one day.
That time could be finally nearing. Yes seriously…According to Fightful CM Punk is in talks to make a huge return to pro wrestling. The current word is that AEW will be the destination which he appears once again. A contract hasn’t been signed as of yet, but things are being worked on.
At one time Punk had made it very clear that he was done with pro wrestling as he was constantly being questioned about a return through the years. However, more recently he noted that he would be open to listening to things if there was a good idea and contract on the table.
We’ll have to see if and exactly when Punk does show up, but we’re going to circle AEW: All Out in Chicago right now, just in case.
