You know that saying that anything can happen in WWE? That’s one thing that always remains true. A great example of this is the companies latest release today…Toni Storm.
Yes, the same Toni Storm who has been on fire lately on SmackDown, picking up huge wins over stars such as Charlotte Flair.
We’ve learned at The Ringside Roster according to Fightful that Toni Storm unlike stars over the past year who were released due to budget cuts, actually requested her release from the company and flew herself home.
The company was said to be caught very off-guard, but granted her request nonetheless.
Toni Storm leaving WWE is just the latest in the bizarre releases over the past year. We aren’t sure exactly why she wanted out, but she’s expected to have a 90-Day non compete clause, which means it’ll be awhile before we see her pop up on TV elsewhere. Yes, Toni Time is officially over in WWE.
