WWE Reportedly Planning For Fans To Return In July

WWE brought fans back at WrestleMania 37 for the first time since the pandemic began and also currently allow a select number in the Orlando area into the CWC for NXT Tapings.

However, we still have yet to see WWE return to being on the road and having consistent live events with fans. The word has been that SummerSlam would be the big “welcome back” show for the company. Things might come a bit sooner though.

Recently during the Mat Men Wrestling show, they announced that they were told WWE fans would be back somewhere from July 16th-19th.

“It looks like WWE is going to start touring on July 16. This is for the main roster shows. SmackDown would be the first one. I have no idea where they’re going to do it. I don’t know anything beyond that the date to start touring is July 16. I could be wrong (about touring). Let me read the message, ‘Fans back July 16-19.’ I don’t know if that’s a one-off week where they’re going to have fans, but it looks like July 16 they’re going to go back to having a live audience in some capacity,”

This would be much sooner than SummerSlam unless the company plans to move up the event from August to around then, which is possible.

It also may come as no surprise after AEW just announced that they would start touring again in July. WWE is obviously looking to beat AEW to the punch. We’ll just have to see who gets to it first.

We’ll keep you updated on all the latest about the situation here at The Ringside Roster.
