Last night during the return of the beloved Halloween Havoc event on NXT we saw a lot of crazy and spooky moments. It was a great show overall and certainly an event that will be remembered.
We also saw an individual dressed as the famous Ghostface killer from the Scream movies interfere in a few matches, Johnny Gargano Vs Damian Priest and Io Shirai Vs Candice LeRae. This resulted in a big win for Gargano becoming the first two time NXT North American Champion. Candice LeRae would have defeated Io Shirai as well if it weren’t for a run in by Halloween Havoc host Shotzi Blackheart.
The wrestling world has been buzzing about the show and who may have been under the mask.
We now have some information on that. We’ve learned at The Ringside Roster that Indie Hartwell was set to be revealed as Ghostface.
This had to be changed due to the fact that she
is currently under quarantine after a recent outbreak at the WWE Capital Wrestling Center.
WWE likely had a random superstar fill in to work the spots, hence the reason there was no big reveal.
Halloween Havoc was another success in the books for NXT. The company did a fantastic job capturing the memory fans have of the event from the set to the matches and stipulations. In fact there’s already talk of doing it again next year by WWE and we absolutely can’t wait. We would love to see it as a yearly event..count us in.
