Wardlow has been a breakout star for AEW after joining the company and being relatively unknown. His combination of size, strength and athleticism has drawn comparisons to stars like Brock Lesnar. He’s currently the bodyguard of MJF, but that could be changing soon.
We’ve learned at The Ringside Roster that AEW is gearing up Wardlow for a big babyface push. It’s not known exactly when but he’s set to turn and split with MJF shortly heading out on his own. The company sees money in Wardlow and believes he appeals to a variety of audiences. When the time comes expect it to be full speed ahead for the big man.
Wardlow wouldn’t be the first to come in as a muscle for another wrestler and go on to do big things. Shawn Michaels and Diesel certainly come to mind. If what we’ve seen so far is any indication AEW may have found a big star for years to come.
