NJPW Star Jay White recently went through a grueling battle with Kota Ibushi at Wrestle Kingdom 15. He didn’t come out on top of things, but as usual he had a great showing.
After the match White surprised fans when he claimed he was leaving NJPW. At the time it was thought as nothing more than part of the storyline. However, it appears that there could be something to it. We’ve learned some interesting information at The Ringside Roster related to the Switchblade’s contract. His contract is reportedly set to expire this month, and word is WWE has interest in signing him. On top of that it’s also said that some backstage in WWE are petitioning for White to be signed including those in the locker room.
A signing like Jay White would be huge for WWE and we’re already imaging the matches he could have with AJ Styles, Finn Balor etc. Now we’ll have to see if they indeed makes a move to get him.
