WWE 2K did not release an annual game this year after their struggles with WWE 2K20 and the games in general over the last few years. Instead, they took a year off to refocus and rebuild from the ground up. Now WWE 2K22 is set to release this fall with a lot of anticipation.
From what we’ve seen and heard about the game so far, it seems that a massive overhaul was indeed done. The engine has been rebuilt and it is expected to be the most realistic experience yet. This is said to truly be a game “for the fans”. We’ll find out if that’s the case soon enough, but with SummerSlam around the corner, more details are starting to be released.
WWE 2K took to Twitter today to post some new screenshots of Edge from the game.

These images look great and if they’re anything to go by fans are in for a real treat this fall when WWE 2K22 releases.
We should get a lot more at SummerSlam when a full reveal including the roster is usually done.
