New “NXT Evolve” Show On The Way, Belts Already Made

After WWE acquired Evolve Wrestling last year, which gave them access to everything including Evolve’s entire video library many fans wondered when we could possibly be seeing more Evolve related WWE content. Now it appears something big is in the works.

We‘ve learned at The Ringside Roster that a second NXT show is on the way titled “NXT Evolve”. WWE had previously filed a trademark for the name, but it was unknown how it would be used at the time. Both Jeremy Borash and Gabe Sapolsky are both said to be a part of the project. The show has actually already taped some episodes as well and was filmed in a factory type setting. NXT’s Josiah Williams did introductions and there was apparently no commentary. It’s possible that will be edited in at a later time. They have also had the belts commissioned and made up already, so they’re all set and ready to go.

WWE seems to be going for a very different underground type feel here with this new NXT show. In fact it sounds similar to Lucha Underground for those that followed the show. We’ll have to see how it comes across on WWE TV, but an official announcement should be coming soon, possibly around WrestleMania 37.
