Tonight on RAW, Mick Foley unveiled the new WWE Championship that was announced last night at Money In The Bank.
The new championship is a 24/7 championship that can be defended anytime, anywhere and any superstar from any brand is eligible. The third hour of RAW will be devoted to it each week.
This is similar to the hardcore championship back during the attitude era… just obviously more PG friendly. Consider it the hardcore title light.
As of this writing, Bobby Roode is holding the 24/7 Championship but that could always change by the end of RAW. WWE is hoping this will add some much needed excitement to their shows and boost their ratings.
We’ll have to see if that’s the case but it’s good their trying something new at least.
