One Superstar who has certainly had an interesting road in WWE thus far is “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman.
Strowman originally arrived to WWE as a member of the Wyatt Family alongside Bray Wyatt (although some might remember him as a certain rosebud) who did the bidding of Wyatt as the heavy hitter of the group… which is saying a lot.
Although rough around the edges it was soon clear that WWE had something special in Strowman. During the 2016 WWE draft the Wyatt Family was disbanded and Strowman was drafted to the RAW brand where he got to try his hand as a singles Superstar.
It didn’t take long for him to start impressing fans and decimating opponents. Strowman quickly became one of the most powerful and feared Superstars in all of the WWE even dispatching the likes of The Big Show, Kane, and Roman Reigns.
As time went on it grew obvious that Strowman was destined to become WWE or Universal Champion..or so it appeared. Despite chances at those Championships namely against The Beast Brock Lesnar Strowman up till this point has been unable to capitalize and claim gold.
With his immense size, his presence and obvious talents it has left fans wondering exactly why Strowman has yet to find that success. We may have some answers to those questions as we have learned at The Ringside Roster that Braun Strowman has reportedly been his own worst enemy at times.
He has been said to arrive late or do things backstage at times that may upset others such as the way he carries himself. Vince McMahon is said to think of him more as a mascot and ambassador for the company than a top Superstar.
This would certainly explain why the plug always seems to get pulled at he starts to get momentum. It remains to be seen if Braun Strowman may ever each the status that some feel he is deserving and capable of.
Word currently is that Braun Strowman will be the one to dethrone Samoa Joe for his United States Championship possibly at WWE Money In The Bank which WWE has already teased.
Although it would be great to see him win a mid-card title we hope to one day see him with the WWE Championship or Universal Championship around his waist.
Perhaps though if he does well as United States Champion WWE and Vince McMahon will finally believe in Braun Strowman enough to reward him with the ultimate prize in the business, only time will tell.
