Leading up to WrestleMania 35, Kurt Angle said that WWE was allowing him to pick his final opponents leading up to the show of shows. It appears that’s not exactly true.
WWE reportedly did have preference when it came to who Angle faced and although they did take his input if needed Vince would have made a change to the opponent. It’s unfortunate to see Kurt Angle go out with a loss on the big stage especially with him wanting to face John Cena and not Baron Corbin.
However, he will still be remembered as one of the all time greats and since he recently signed a new contract with WWE he will be around to mentor talent. That can only mean great things for WWE and their rising stars… it’s true it’s damn true!
