Kenny Omega held the AEW Championship for 346 days making him the longest reigning champion in the companies history before dropping it to Adam Page at Full Gear.
Omega has been a workhorse since becoming Champion and has reportedly battled through several nagging injuries over the last few years as well as a vertigo condition.
We’ve learned at The Ringside Roster that Kenny Omega is expected to take some time off following Full Gear to heal up. This was reportedly always the plan and Omega was determined to make it to his match with Adam Page and give him his big moment.
We’ll have to see exactly when Omega makes his return to AEW, but some rest is definitely well deserved. In the meantime Adam Page will carry the torch for AEW as the World Champion.
