For those that missed it (that may have been a good thing depending on who you ask) Bray Wyatt finally made his return on RAW. Bray was shown on the screen in a segment called The “Firefly Fun House” with his puppet and doll friends.
Bray Wyatt talked about how the old him is gone and that he is good now and reformed. His new character appears to be a mix of Mr. Rodgers and PeeWee Herman.
Obviously this is a strange direction to go and one that’s already being met with a ton of criticism from fans on social media. It’s hard to say if this move will be a successful one for Wyatt and WWE at this point.
Wyatt has undergone a lot of changes over the years starting as Husky Harris in his early days and then transforming to the dark Bray Wyatt. Although he has found some success even getting a short reign as the WWE Champion he still has yet to really find his groove in the company.
Many fans have considered him a lost cause for some time now however it’s not due to talent but more so his use by creative in WWE. Maybe this will be the thing that finally gets Wyatt headed in the right direction… after all stranger things have happened.
One option WWE could go with is to make Bray appear as a nice character outside of the ring but once he steps foot in the ring have him change and become unhinged. This is something that fans may be able to get behind if done right.
We’ll have to wait and see what WWE has in store but it’s certainly a strange twist to the Bray Wyatt character.
