After the events at WWE Elimination Chamber, The Miz is now a 2x WWE Champion. A lot of that is thanks to The Hurt Businesses’ Bobby Lashley.
After Drew McIntyre retained his WWE Championship in the RAW Elimination Chamber match he was quickly attacked by Lashley. That’s when The Miz’ music hit and it became obvious what was about to happen. The Miz then took advantage of Lashley’s actions and successfully cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase to defeat McIntyre and become the new WWE Champion. That’s right The A-Lister is now on top of the RAW brand and likely headed to WrestleMania with his title..or is he?
We’ve now learned at The Ringside Roster that despite the big win by The Miz at Elimination Chamber he’s not currently expected to be part of the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 37. Word is that The Miz may drop the title between now and then due to some kind of interference by Bad Bunny and Damien Priest. This would likely come at Fastlane and set up the Bad Bunny and Damien Priest Vs The Miz and John Morrison match that the company has been planning for the show of shows as we previously reported. However, when it comes to Bobby Lashley we’ve been told that he is currently scheduled to be a part of the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 37. Unless WWE decides to switch things up last minute, the only question now is if he’ll be walking in as champion or not or who he may challenging for the title.
We’ll have to see what happens, but a lot of fans have been hoping for a legitimate push for Lashley for years now. We might finally be about to see that happen.
