It’s no secret that AEW loves the Chicago area and feels right at home there, although they are actually based in Jacksonville. The company has some big things coming up for Chicago including All Out in September and it looks like Tony Khan and some other AEW EVP’s recently took a trip down to work on some stuff in advance.
Bodyslam.net reported that Tony Khan and other Executive Vice Presidents flew to Chicago on his private jet from Champagne-Urbana to Chicago. They aren’t saying much when it comes to the trip and its purpose, but word from sources close to the situation is that it’s for a promo shoot.
We previously reported at The Ringside Roster that CM Punk had inked a deal with the company and was expected to debut at All Out or on the Dynamite prior.
We’ll have to see exactly what the company has planned, but it wouldn’t be surprising if they went down to shoot some stuff that involved Punk involving a promo or possible promotion for the huge Chicago show.
