Below are the highlights and the WWE NXT results 6/29/21: 

Io Shirai & Zoey Stark defeat Raquel Gonzalez & Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart to become the #1 Contenders to the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships at the Great American Bash.

WWE announces the next NXT Breakout Tournament in 2 weeks.

Isiah Swerve Scott challenges Bronson Reed to an NXT North American Championship tonight and he accepts.

Johnny Gargano attacks Karrion Kross backstage and Kross comes out to the ring and calls him out. Austin Theory attacks Kross from behind followed by Gargano, but Kross gets the upper hand until Samoa Joe breaks it up and has a stare down with Kross.

Charging is up to 61% on the mystery NXT vignette.


Roderick Strong and Diamond Mine come to the ring. 

Roderick Strong defeats Asher Hale.

Cameron Grimes defeats Ari Sterling

LA Knight comes out after the match to trash to trash talk Grimes. Grimes challenges him for a match at The Great American Bash for the Million Dollar Championship. Knight says Grimes doesn’t deserve it, but he’ll accept on one condition. If Grimes loses he has to become the new Virgil aka his butler and Grimes accepts.

Adam Cole and Kyle O’ Reilly come out and are about to fight until Samoa Joe comes out with Security. Security stands on the stage while Joe gets in the ring between them. They exchange words before Cole goes to hit O’ Reilly and gets locked in a heel hook. Cole yells for Joe to break it up, but he takes his time and eventually lets Security break things up.

Xia Li & Boa defeat Mercedes Martinez and Jake Atlas by referee stoppage. During the match Xia Li hit a nasty roundhouse kick on Martinez and it looked like the referee threw up the “X”. Martinez could have a possible concussion.

Sarray tells William Regal she wants a match with Toni Storm.

Charging is up to 81% on the mystery NXT vignette.

Karrion Kross tries leaving in his car with Scarlett, but gets attacked by Austin Theory and Johnny Gargano. They get the upper hand and smash Kross with the car door, but he gets up and chokes out Gargano and knocks out Austin Theory. Kross gets in his car and tries to run over Gargano, but Samoa Joe pulls him out of the way.

Isiah Swerve Scott defeats Bronson Reed to become the New North American Champion.
