Roman Reigns has been on a tear through WWE since returning to the company and becoming Universal Champion. He’s defeated every challenger that has stepped up to him from Kevin Owens to The Demon Finn Balor. However, his newest opponent Brock Lesnar will be his toughest test yet.

Brock Lesnar returned at SummerSlam and immediately stepped up to The Tribal Chief who now also employs his former advocate Paul Heyman. Reigns and Lesnar will now battle at Crown Jewel on October 21st for the Universal Championship.

We previously reported that despite their upcoming match at Crown Jewel, Reigns and Lesnar are currently scheduled to work a long program together heading into 2022 that could see things finally conclude around WrestleMania 38. Thus, Crown Jewel will only be the beginning of their feud.

We’ve also learned and The Ringside Roster that the company is planning an “interesting and wacky” finish for the match at Crown Jewel which will likely keep the title on Reigns while still protecting Lesnar.

Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar are two of the top stars in WWE so it’s no surprise that the company is looking to draw things out as there is huge appeal there. We’ll have to see if The Beast can ultimately dethrone The Tribal Chief and who Paul Heyman will side with when the smoke clears.
