WWE revealed today that Bayley will be out of action for 9 months after suffering a training injury effectively removing her from her SmackDown Women’s Champion at Money In The Bank.
In a recent statement, the company revealed that a replacement will be announced for the match against Bianca Belair at Money In The Bank tonight on SmackDown.
At the time the nature of Bayley’s injury was unknown, but it has now been revealed. According to PWInsider Bayley suffered a torn ACL. She reportedly sustained the injury while training at the WWE Performance Center.
It’s beyond unfortunate and ACL injuries are always tough to come back from, but we’re confident at The Ringside Roster that the former multi-time WWE Women’s Champion will be back better than ever.
