Major Storyline dropped for Johnny Gargano?

There were reportedly plans in plan for a major storyline for Johnny Gargano on the main roster however it was dropped because of Tommaso Ciampa’s injury. It was said that Gargano might be better suited going back to NXT where he could possibly become the next NXT Champion after Ciampa ultimately has to relinquish his title. We’ll have to see how things shape up as we get closer to NXT:Takeover New York.
