Kyle O’ Reilly debuted a bit of a different look this week on WWE NXT rocking a jean jacket, sunglasses and relaxed attitude. It’s all part of his new Cool Kyle persona now that he’s on his own and no longer with the Undisputed Era.
Some fans though weren’t so happy as they took to social media to blast O’ Reilly for stealing AEW Star Orange Cassidy’s look. O’ Reilly not one to shy away posted his own response as well.
“Thank-you internet for informing me nobody else on planet Earth is allowed to wear a denim jacket ever again. My goal in wrestling has always been to be my authentic quirky self maintaining my artistic integrity and originality. Can we all at least appreciate the cute vintage T-shirt I had on? My dear friend @johnmfg found this gem in a St. Louis thrift shop in 2015 and I’ve been waiting years to finally wear it on TV. My focus is on being the one and only Kyle O’Reilly and guess what… you don’t HAVE to love me! All I ask is that you LOVE Wrestling!”

The Ringside View: As you may notice the backlash didn’t phase O’ Reilly at all. He plans to continue being himself and doing his thing on NXT, but after all that’s just what it’s like when you’re Cool Kyle. All we have to say at The Ringside Roster is we like it..we like it a lot.
