Despite having a ton of talent it hasn’t been an easy road for Andrade in the WWE.
The former United States Champion hasn’t been seen or used on WWE TV since October 2020. Before being relieved of his position as Head of RAW Creative, Paul Heyman was putting a lot of focus on Andrade and behind a strong push for him as well. Once Bruce Pritchard took over that quickly changed. Andrade was also suspended for 30 days due to violating WWE’s wellness policy, which didn’t help things. Word backstage was that really appeared to be what soured Vince McMahon on him.
Recently Andrade’s name was still not coming up in creative meetings and the WWE Star also made sure to remove anything WWE related from his social media. Clearly there’s been frustration..
We’ve also learned at The Ringside Roster that Andrade has reportedly even requested his release from the company. It’s currently unknown if it’ll be granted, but this is a surprising development even given the state of things. After all his fiancée Charlotte Flair is still in WWE.
We’ll have to see what happens but Andrade may be headed elsewhere soon.
