The Undisputed Era was quite possibly the best faction in the history of WWE NXT. Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong made up an extremely dangerous group. Although they’ve all gone their separate ways now, they still know each other better than anyone and according to Adam Cole, Roderick Strong is now more dangerous than ever.
Roderick Strong appeared on NXT last week after disappearing when The Undisputed Era disbanded. He emerged as the leader of Diamond Mine after weeks of vignettes for the group alongside Tyler Rust, Hideki Suzuki and Malcom Bivens as they took out Kushida.
Adam Cole who’s history with Roderick Strong goes way back had a lot to say about the new group while speaking with Corey Graves on the ‘After The Bell podcast.
“Roddy is probably the toughest opponent I’ve ever been in the ring with. When you are done wrestling Roddy, you definitely feel like you’ve wrestled. He brings it, he always has and always will. So the idea of him being at the forefront, or what it looks like, of this new group, it’s scary.
I think it’s scary for the whole brand, definitely scary for KUSHIDA. I think it’s really cool in some senses for Roddy to find this new group and new crew. He looks as confident as ever, but I really hope that Roddy stays out of my way. The idea of having to deal with Roddy this tense and this fired up is something I’m not ready to deal with right now.
Roddy is on fire and I can tell.”
WWE is hoping Diamond Mine really takes off, so we’ll have to see what happens going forward. The potential is definitely there, now it’s time to mold those Diamonds hopefully into the Crown Jewels of NXT.
