Tonight at NXT TakeOver Vengeance Day Finn Balor retained the NXT Championship in a hard fought match against Pete Dunne.
However, after the match the Kings Of NXT hit the ring and beat down Balor until The Undisputed Era ran down to make the save… sort of. As we watched The Undisputed Era fight off the Kings Of NXT and stand alongside Balor things quickly took a turn as Adam Cole super kicked Balor.
Kyle O’ Reilly then got in Adam Cole’s face before receiving a super kick of his own as Roderick Strong stood there stunned. Adam Cole then stood looking down at O’Reilly.
We’ve all heard the rumblings for months that the Undisputed Era would soon be breaking up. On Valentines Day at NXT TakeOver Vengeance Day it finally became a reality. It’s truly a sad day in wrestling. The only question now is what happens next. We’ll surely find out this week on NXT.
