AEW Rampage is the companies newest show, which is coming to TNT on August 13th. It was revealed last night at Double Or Nothing that WWE Legend Mark Henry would be one of the analysts for the show!
During the Double Or Nothing media scrum after the show Tony Khan spoke some more about what we can expect when it debuts.
“We’re gonna be live on August 13th, the premiere on Friday the 13th, it’ll be Friday the 13th and it’ll be a huge episode and we’ll be live from the start. I’ve got a lot of live episodes planned. There may be times when we do it kinda classic taped like taped with shows on a Wednesday, maybe, but it’s gonna live from the start and I plan to make this as important as any show an we’ve got some great shows and I plan for it to be live out of the gate, but I plan for it to be jus as good as any shows that we do.”
Tony Khan has made it clear that AEW Rampage isn’t going to be the companies B show, but rather and equal to Dynamite. Much like WWE introducing SmackDown back in the day, AEW is looking to give stars another show to grow on and develop on, while entertaining fans in the process. Sounds like a win for everyone.
