**WWE THROWBACK SMACKDOWN RESULTS 5/7/21**

- WWE Throwback SmackDown kicks off with a classic version of the old SmackDown set using graphics including the fist. The announcers are dressed in old school jackets which is a nice touch. Not seeing the real fist is definitely disappointing though (sad face).
- Roman Reigns comes out to the ring with Paul Heyman and Jey Uso. Heyman gives a eulogy of Daniel Bryan’s career as they do a ten bell salute. Reigns says he’s a man of his word and he beat Bryan like he said he would. He tells the fans to celebrate him and thank him, because he gives the people what they want. He says if Bryan really wanted to be on SmackDown he would have acknowledged him. Reigns says they already have a replacement for him and announces that Jimmy Uso is back as he comes out! Cesaro comes out and says that nobody can replace Daniel Bryan. Seth Rollins attacks Cesaro from behind, but Teddy Long’s music hits! Long declares that if Cesaro can beat Rollins tonight he’ll get a Universal Championship match at WrestleMania Backlash.
- Cesaro defeats Seth Rollins to earn a Universal Championship match.
- Seth Rollins finds Roman Reigns and isn’t happy about the Usos being out there for his match and interfering. Rollins tells Reigns to keep them in check and make it right or he’ll handle them himself.
- Roman Reigns talks to Jimmy Uso and says that he didn’t bring him back to clean up his messes. He says he brought Jimmy back to be a part of something special, but he’s already screwing up. Jimmy then tells Reigns he’s nobody’s b**** and that he won’t boss him around like he does Jey.
- Carmella defeats Ruby Riott
- Bayley comes out and reflects on some of WWE’s biggest Women’s stars like Lita and Trish Stratus. She gets to Bianca Belair and says she doesn’t measure up to them. Bayley says she’s going to beat Belair and win the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
- Bianca Belair comes out and says she’s going to be the new longest reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion.
- Bayley then attacks Belair and tries to rip her earrings out before hitting her Role Model finisher on her.
- Jey Uso finds Jimmy Uso and asks if he really feels that he’s Roman’s b****. Jimmy says he does because he does whatever Roman wants and helps him win all his matches. Jey says when Roman wins the family wins. Jimmy says he needs Jey not Roman and that Roman isn’t looking out for him, and he doesn’t have Jey’s back. Jimmy says together they can become the tag team champions again and represent the family.
- Dominick Mysterio defeats Dolph Ziggler
- Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax will defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against Natalya and Tamina next week on SmackDown.
- Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn, Apollo Crews, Chad Gable & Otis defeat Shinsuke Nakamura, Big E, Kevin Owens & The Street Profits.
- Roman Reigns and Jey Uso come back to the ring and ask Jimmy Uso where he stands. Jimmy comes out and asks where Jey stands. Jimmy says when Jey fought Roman in an I quit match, he wouldn’t give up until Roman dragged Jimmy in the ring. He says that what family really means. Jimmy then plays back a video of the match. Jimmy says if it were him he’d never say he quits to Roman. Reigns says Jimmy is stuck in the past while they’re moving forward. He says to fall in line and acknowledge him or stay home. Jey then tells Jimmy to make it easy on himself and do the right thing. Cesaro attacks Reigns in the ring from behind and Jey tries to help, but Jimmy stops him at first, but he still runs in. Cesaro takes out Jey and Jimmy reluctantly runs in. Cesaro then takes him out too and stands tall to end SmackDown.
