Whether you like her or not, Nikki Bella has played a pivotal part in the uprising of women wrestling in WWE the past four years.
She helped bring in a wide audience to the WWE thanks to Total Divas and Total Bellas. And now, we learn that she will never get a change to wrestle again.
Nikki, along with her sister Brie, appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night to discuss all sorts of things. Perhaps the biggest was her reasoning for having to retire from professional wrestling.
Through this interview, we learned that she has a cyst on her brain. That is a serious issue.
Nikki wanted to become WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions with her sister one day, but those plans had to change because of this issue.
While her contribution inside the ropes may be questioned by some fans, her contributions outside of the ropes are something to be rewarded. She helped bring so many eyes to a product she loves and adores, as well as becoming a role model for so many young women.
I would like to personally thank Nikki Bella for all she has done for WWE. While I may have not been a fan of her wrestling ability, I always admired her work outside of the wrestling ring. She has a Hall of Fame ring waiting on her in the near future.
